the television remote didn't work and the toilet had a flush problem and went off during the night.
It was convenient to the heart of Nevada City. The setting is pleasant. The price of the room was reasonable.
While the room was clean, it had very very basic furnishings. I was told the swimming pool was closed for the winter - in the middle of August??? There's a lot of noise from the highway, but I had the fan running all night anyway which drowned out that noise.
It's lovely and the staff are very warm and helpful.
The mattress was too hard.
very clean room, comfortable beds, convenient location, great restaurant
noisy guests in room above, training staff when arrived and line was long. wish they had let the expert do it and then resumed training.
I lived in Grass Valley for 21 years and always enjoyed the Trolly Junction resturant. It was still good, but I will never stay at the Motel again. The room had areas that hadn't been vacuumed for awhile, and the heater and the plumbing left a lot to be desired. I thought $100 for room was a way overpriced. I would say Motel 6 prices would have been a stretch. VWilliams
The dining room overlooking the waterfall was so pleasant. The food was plentiful and very good. We took advantage of the swimming pool after discovering it while walking around the facility. Good stay.
It was all good.
I love the setting, it is surrounded by beautiful trees and a water fall.
Comfortable, and quiet. Beautiful setting with the trees and water falls. Nicely kept grounds and rooms were nice and big.
We like everything at the Northern Queen -- location, friendliness of workers, great food at tj Restaurant, price.
The natural setting and the walking distance to the heart of Nevada City
Noisy heater, terrible tissues, tired appearance of the room decor
location in trees and shade
Location and surroundings good- lots of trees around. price was good for clean, spacious rooms.
Unfortunately the night we were there our neighbors hung outside talking all night so we didn't get much sleep- could happen anywhere I suppose.
Nothing....glorified days inn not worth 90.00 per night, rip off
We always stay in one of the cabins. They are cozy, with more privacy and less noise than a regular motel room. They are nestled among the forest trees. Each one has a nice little deck/balcony where you can sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. The toiletries provided are of better quality. The coffee and other condiment type items were replenished daily, and were of good quality. The supply of towels was generous. The cabins are equipped with basic kitchen utensils and dishes so it is possible to eat in when desired. The little gas stoves that look like fireplaces add to the coziness of the rooms. The rooms were nice and clean.
Even though we enjoy coming up and staying in a cabin each year, the rooms could use some updating.
